Font Notes:
Le Héricher (1845) had mentioned a font that was originally from the disappeared medieval church: "Les fonts se composent d’une cuve ronde accostée d’une piscine carrée. Il n’y a plus vestige de la primitive église." Vivier-Seguin (1941) report that the font described by Le Héricher as a round basin with a square "piscina" attached no longer exists; instead they found the round granite basin abandoned under a canopy ("abandonnée sous un auvent"); V-S suggest that it may have been a plain massive Romanesque basin to which a square addition was attached when the "fashion" of the double fonts hit this area, which Le Héricher timed with the restoration carried out on this church in the 16th century.
