Described by Vivier-Seguin (1941) as one of three double fonts of similar dating and manufacture (cf. Moulines font for general characteristics); this font has a pair of very squat columns at the base. [NB: the nearby abbey founded in 1112-1113 by Raoul de Fougères and his wife Amicia for Vital de Mortain, listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00110611], now in ruins, would have had a church and a font].
