The baptismal font here shows an octagonal basin mounted on a columnar base (a central column and three others); three of the odd basin sides (1,3,5) are ornamented with an Ogee arch containing a leaf and a tetrafoil in each spandrel; side 7 [the side now facing southwest] is decorated with a geometrical arrangement of crossing incised lines; the even sides (2,4,6,8) are roughed giving the basin the aspect of a re-cut square (Vivier, 1941) [NB: we have no information on when this drastic re-cutting of the basin occurred]. Octagonal pyramidal cover of metal with Larin cross finial.
