Font Notes:
Included in Vivier-Seguin among the Gothic fonts of the diocese of Coutances. Similar in general to the ones at Montchaton and Ancteville, they lack the spandrel motifs and have a taller more slender base, although the colonnettes themselves are only 18 cm tall. V-S report a tall conical wooden cover (Vivier, 1941). Listed in Wikimanche [https://www.wikimanche.fr/Église_Saint-Aubin_(Brainville)#cite_note-ADM-1] [accessed 26 March 2025]: "fonts baptismaux (XIIIe-XIVe s.) dont la cuve hémisphérique repose sur un fût principal et quatre colonnettes auxiliaires. Des arcatures trilobées joignent ces quatre colonnes".
