Included in Vivier-Seguin, the basin is hemispheric and fairly large, the base made of a broad central column and four other thinner ones at the corners, all five very short; there is a lower base trimmed around the feet of the outer colonnettes, where V-S identify animal forms, one under each. The basin has deep tri-lobed arches with clover motifs in the spandrels. The font has a very heavy aspect due to its squat base. Vivier-Seguin argue that the dating in Renault (15-16th cent.) and the one assigned by Monuments Historiques (12th cent.) are both off; they date it to the 13-14th cent. (description based on ill. and notes in Vivier, 1941)
