Vivier-Seguin (1941) report that there is a granite block which now [ca. 1941] serves as base to a carrefour cross, known as "Croix de l'École",; this block is all that remains of the old Romanesque font at Gefosses. Citing Renault as source, V-S describe the font at Gefosses as having a plain square basin with tapering in sides supported by a central column and four additional colonnettes. The only ornamentation on it is a scotia all around the basin top half (Vivier, 1941)
