Square mounted font described and illustrated by Vivier-Seguin (1941) after Renault. The basin , like the one at St-Germain-sur-Ay, is shallow and ornamented with nooks carved to resemble a Romanesque arcade. The base is made of a large central column with corner constructional colonnettes that have capitals and bases (Vivier, 1941). Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM50000751]: "Église paroissiale Saint-Pierre [...] Fonts baptismaux [...] [...] H = 110 ; la = 100 (Largeur approximative) [...] Ces fonts baptismaux sont d'époque romane." The awkward metal division of the inner well may have introduced in the 16th century or later, in the French fashion.
