Described and illustrated in Vivier-Seguin (1941) as a massive square mounted font, though rather squat which, according to V-S, was compensated in the past by the presence of a pyramidal cover, now [1941], unfortunately, replaced by a flat one; the basin is square, not very tall, its sides carved with piping and fluting patterns [NB: presumably the patterns are replicated on the third and fourth sides]; the central column of the base is broad and short, the four corner colonnettes -one is broken, later replaced- are of the same height but slender and with plain capitals and bases; the whole rests on a square plinth. The present cover is square and flat, made of wood, with moulded sides; appears modern. The font is inventoried in the Palissy database [Référence: PM50000979] as Romanesque and made of limestone.
