A mid-19th century baptismal font in this church is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM50010883]: "Fonts baptismaux et leur couvercle [...] Fonts baptismaux en marbre gris veiné avec leur couvercle en laiton battu et doré [...] 1853 [...] Marbre veiné (gris) : taillé ; laiton : doré [...] H = 130 ; la = 83 ; pr = 55". According to Vivier-Seguin this is an early tub-shaped font; the only ornament is the two torus around its middle. V-S put forth that, since Brévands has an early Christian tradition going back to the 8th century, it is quite possible it may have been one of the earliest Christian centres of the region and that this font would have been used for immersion (Vivier, 1941) [NB: to be treated 'cum grano salis'; far too many 'earliest Christian centres' claimed, most of which translate into 11th to 13th century sites!]
