The present church is the work of architect Arthur Regnault and dates to the beginning of the 20th century, 1900-1908; it was then re-consecrated with the dedication to the Holy Trinity (source: Le patrimoine des communes d'Ille-et-Vilaine, 2000, v. 2, p. 1674)
On-site notes: octagonal and very irregular basin with a double rim. A large grotesque human figure or devil -known popularly as "le diable de Tinténiac"- holds the basin with its arms and legs sprawled; next to it there is a dog; the square pedestal base shows also another large human figure, the index finger of his left hand pointing up to the figure/devil on the basin; it is said locally to have been brought in from the "door of the dead", part of the the old church of which only ruins remain today; some local sources claim that it was a stoup there (it has no drain); both the basin and the base are of the same type of stone, though they may not belong together; the basin shape and the position of the carving appear to indicate that the object was originally intended to be placed against the wall on its broadest (70 cm) side; unlike the other sides, this side is not carved and is totally flat; at present [June 2000], it is used as an ornament and a flower-pot near the altar [cf. Index entry for Tinteniac No. 2 for the baptismal font in use in this church]. According to Le patrimoine des communes d'Ille-et-Vilaine (2000) this stoup is called "le beau diable de Tinténiac".
