Malle's illustration shows a plain octagonal mounted font with a plain wooden cover; behind it, "sa réserve de Sainte-Chrême" (Malle, 1994). Vivier and Seguin (Vivier, 1941) describe the font as octagonal, though the angle sides are smaller than the front-back-sides; they describe several levels of mouldings and the font is chalice-shaped; the wooden cover illustrated in this source, dated 1941, is pyramidal, but may have later been replaced with the flat one shown in Malle in 1994.
