This second font at Shipham All Saints' is described by Pevsner & Wilson (1999) as being a Perpendicular font with "shields in foiled fields" and its cover as "17th century, volute type, six of the vanes with carved scrolls." Also listed in Tyrrell-Green (1928) and described a s a font with panels of varied design. Noted and illustrated in Knott (2007) [NB: this church also houses an earlier, Norman, baptismal font [cf. Index entry for Shipdham No. 2]]
