Church Notes: medieval church documented 1078;
Described and illustrated in Wauters (1887) and in Raeymaekers, in the Annales de la Société royale d'archéologie de Bruxelles, vol. 13, 1899 (22-26). Noted as one of several 14th-15th fonts mounted on square bases listed by Enlart (1902). A communication from Pol Herman [e-mail of 2 October 2021] informs that the font from Rummen has has had a complex trajectory: "Jean-Claude Ghislain defines the [font] as gothic, late 14th century. The font has been restored last year, because it had broken in several pieces.", and includes Ghislain notes [source not available] on this font: "Les fonts baptismaux proviennent de l'église paroissale Saint-Ambroise de Rummen.
