Noted in Roger et al. (1844): "à l entrée du temple de magnifiques fonts portant la date de 1565". Listed by Enlart (1902) as a Renaissance font dated to 1567 and mounted on a five-support base; "on voit saint Martin, patron d'Amiens, sur les fonts de Laucourt". Catalogued in Palissy [www.culture.gouv.fr/public/mistral/palsri_fr] [accessed 4 August 2012] [ref.: PM80000802] as a stone font of the 16th century. The font consists of a rounded basin framed inside four angle colonnettes the capitals of which reach the angles of the upper rim; these colonnettes continue down and their bases form the angles of the lower base; the stem proper is a broad circular shaft. The whole outer surface of the font and its poarts are completely covered in sculped scenes (one of St. Martin on horseback sharing his cape], mascarons, symbols and motifs. The font cover consists of a crown-like octagonal base with a round dome inside. A B&W photograph [1900-1913?] of this font is held in the Archives départementales de la Somme [http://archives.somme.fr/ark:/58483/a011308867881uMq2uq ] [accessed 4 August 2012]
