Enlart (1902) mentions a 12th-century square mounted font on a five-column base; that may have been the original font of the 12th-13th century church here, but we have not been able to locate that font since. The entry for this church in Open Churches [https://openchurches.eu/en/churches/notre-dame-buire-au-bois-ndf] [accessed 17 April 2023], however, illustrates a different and obviously much later baptismal font in it, a vessel made of a dark marble in a popular design now in use in an area reserved for baptisms within the church interior [cf. ImagesArea].
