Listed by Enlart (1902) as a 13th century square mounted font from the atelier de Villers-Carbonnel of Somme. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM80000600] as a disappeared baptismal font of the 13th century [NB: destroyed in WWI?]. Illustrations of this font before its destruction show a square basin raised on a broad central shaft and a square lower base; the basin sides are decorated with varied patterns (zigzag, wave, etc.) on the sides, the underbowl formed by four large foliated capitals that would have connected with the missing angle colonnettes of the original base, as the lower base itseld had also remains of the moulded bases in the corners; also on the underbowl are decorative motifs and at least one foliated cross.
