Listed by Enlart (1902) as a Renaissance Marquise font. The wooden cover and its crane, not the font, are listed in Palissy [ref.: PM62005212]: "Lambris de revêtement ; clôture des fonts baptismaux ; couvercle des fonts baptismaux ; potence des fonts baptismaux". The entry for this church by Philippe Seydoux in La Sauvegarde de l’Art français [https://www.sauvegardeartfrancais.fr/projets/hesdin-eglise-notre-dame/] [accessed 14 August 2022] notes: "Seul témoin du mobilier d’origine, les fonts en grès sont datés de 1586." An uncorroborated source claims the presence in this church of a holy-water stoup dated 1556.
