Church Notes: female monastery here founded by St. Wulmer 7thC, and soon thereafter the abbaye de Saint-Wulmer in nearby Samer -- present church listed in Mérimée [ref.: IA00062645]: "Choeur et avant choeur datables 15e ou 16e siècle ; nef 16e siècle ; tour 18e siècle ; chapelle sud construite en 1890 et 1891".
Noted in Joanne (1878) as a baptismal font of the 12th century. Listed by Enlart (1895) and (1902) as a 12th-century Marquise font on a 5-support base. Listed and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: IM62001156]: "fonts baptismaux [...] calcaire [...] Le soubassement et les supports des fonts baptismaux datent du 12e siècle, la cuve date probablement du 19e siècle." Baptismal font reconstructed from a late-12th century original: the square basin is a 19th-century replacement of the original; the five-column pedestal base and the square lower base are original. The dome-shaped metal cover is 19th-century.
