Font Notes:
Listed by Enlart (1902) in a group of fonts "en forme de navette"; this one 16th-century. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM94000245] as a baptismal font of the 18th century located in the south aisle, but dated to the 16th also in the Association des amis de l'église Saint-Georges, Église Saint-Georges. Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (Val-de-Marne), p. 14. The font consists of an oval/oblong basin decorated with a large ring handle carved on each of the two long sides; raised on a plain round pedestal base. Metal font cover flat and hinged in the middle and opening on both sides. [NB: the 18th-century date is more likely, as it has an almost 'Empire' design, despite Enlart's grouping with other 16th-century fonts].
