One of several fonts described by Enlart (1902) as "fonts en forme de navette" and dated by him to the 14th century. Baptismal font listed in Palissy [ref.: PM77003061]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] Grès des environs de Fontainebleau. Fonts baptismaux en forme de navette avec motif décoratif sur chaque face de la cuve. Cuve à deux bassins, couvercle en bois [...] 16e siècle". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP80L084838, AP77W03998] [NB: photographs [cf. ImagesArea] show a single well opening -- was a double-well created by inserts?] A wall-mounted object located in the north aisle and described as a "Piscine baptismale ; fontaine baptismale", resembling a lavabo, is listed in Palissy [ref.: PM77001213] with date in the 16th century.
