Described by Enlart (1902) as a Renaissance octagonal font. Corblet (1881-1882), who gives the name of the place as "Equisham", suggests the date as the 16th century and recounts that, according to a false popular tradition [="selon une fausse tradition populaire"], this is the font in which the holy pope Leo IX was baptised in 1002.
