Font Notes:
Listed by Enlart (1902) as a Renaissance octagonal font. The font consists of an octagonal basin decorated with a torus-scotia at the upper end, and a deeply-carved grapevine below in which two(?) naked children in a prone position; the underbowl is gadrooned or ribbed; the stem of the pedestal base is octagonal and decorated with geometric and stylised foliage on the sides, the lower end with stops at four sides to turn into the square lower base. There is significant damage to the upper rim where the metal staples for the anchoring of a font cover split the stone. No cover present.
