Listed by Enlart as a Renaissance octagonal font (Enlart, 1902). Noted in 'Cuves baptismales et fonts baptismaux : évolution formelle avant le XVIe siècle' [www.culture.gouv.fr/documentation/memoire/CATALOGUES/fontsbapt/fontsbapt_histav16e/html/fontsbapt_histav16e.html] [accessed 30 March 2016]. The font consists of an octagonal basin decorated with mouldings on upper half, the lower half with encircled heads [some are human; are they all?]; the lower end of the basin had heads at every other angle, but they are defaced and some totally broken off; graded mouldings on the underbowl chamfer; on an octagonal pedestal base decorated with rectangular panels, four of which have large floral motifs in diamond-shaped frames; moulded lower base. Wooden cover is octagonal, flat and plain; has cross-bar lock; appears modern. [NB: we have no information on the font from the orignal church here].
