Listed by Enlart (1902) in a group of octagonal fonts ornamented with mouldings. Focus - L’église Saint-Nicolas d’Ecques [https://www.tourisme-saintomer.com/app/uploads/tourisme-saintomer/2023/04/focus_ecques-web_2fvhl0zy.pdf] [accessed 10 March 2025] mentions an inventory carried out in 1790 which refered to a 1669 inventory in which the font has been noted: "Les fonts baptismaux sont en pierre de Marquise, et comportent « un grand vaisseau de plomb … couvert et fermé»" [NB: not clear whether this refered to a lead insert or a separate water reservoir]
