There are several illustrations of this font in the Bibliothèque municipale d'Abbeville, including an early drawing of 1854, a drawing by L. Gillard, a heliogravure in Dujardin's 'Picardie Historique et Monumentale', and a lithograph from the Baron Taylor's 'Voyages Pittoresques en France'. The font is noted in Joanne (1886): "cuve baptismale de la Renaissance", but the church itself is dated "XIIe et XIIIe s." The font is listed by Enlart (1902) in a group of difficult to date fonts. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM80000689] as a stone font of the 16th century. The font consists of a deeply-carved octafonal basin with protruding human heads on every other side of the octagon, the panels in between also decorated with human heads; the angles of the basin have columns with capitals and bases; rounded underbowl decorated with foliage; the middle of the font is openwork with convex ribs; octagonal lower base with stops that make it square at the bottom. In one early illustration the font is shown raised on an octagonal plinth; that plinth is no longer in the church. Plain flat square cover.
