Font Notes:
Composite font consisting on a roughly hemispherical basin decorated with a pattern of long vertical leaves all around the sides, a pattern of smaller ones on the oderbowl; raised on an upturned capital said to be Gallo-Roman. Listed by Enlart (1902) in a group of difficult-to-date fonts. The church here is listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00116563] with mention of the baptismal font in it: "Eglise de type basilical, édifiée entre 1103 et 1150. Les fonds [sic] baptismaux sont supportés par un chapiteau romain". Noted and illustrated in Palissy [ref.: PM01000335]: "Cuve circulaire en marbre blanc placé sur un chapiteau antique de marbre blanc renversé."
