Listed by Enlart (1902) as a 16th century font. The Phaidon guide to Provence..., 1986, p. 212, describes it as large, being 13 ft. in circumference. The Dictionnaire des églises... (1966-) describes it as an enormous monolithic stone basin with a 4 m. circumference. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM04002841]: "Fonts baptismaux (cuve baptismale) [...] Cuve d'une circonférence de 4 mètres (?) [...] 16e siècle"; the entry includes a reference: "Allibert, Histoire de Seyne, p.66". Illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP04W01477].
