Listed by Enlart among a group of 12th century (?) rectangular fonts with supporting colonnettes at the angles in the Somme (Enlart, 1902). Catalogued in Palissy [ref.: PM80000569] [www.culture.gouv.fr/public/mistral/palsri_fr] as a baptismal font of the 12th ceentury, previously catalogued as 13th-century [= "12e siècle [...] anciennement datée du 13e siècle."]. Illustrated in www.richesses-en-somme.com/patrimoine-des-églises/fonts-baptismaux/ [accessed 1 July 2012]. One of a group of early fonts in the Somme of similar characteristics (e.g.: Fouencamps, Gentelles, Havernas, etc.): bulky and square, a rounded basin framed in thick columns with crude leaf capitals; this one has an attempt at rib-like decoration on the sides of the basin; the upper rim quite broad; sits directly on a plain square plinth. The wooden cover is also square; flat and plain.
