Noted and illustrated in Fleury (1878-1882). Included by Cloquet (1895) among the round fonts of the Mosan type with four human heads, at 90-degree angles, on the basin sides. Enlart (1902) lists it as a Tournai-type on a 5-support base and dates it to the 11-12th century. Corblet (1881-1882), who dates it to the 11th cent. and mentions only "espèce de rosace, têtes humaines", shows an illustration of a round basin with heads at the corners; the basin side visible between the heads has a large floral motif [after Fleury [cf. supra]]. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM02002369] as a font of the 12th century; no details given.
