Included by Cloquet (1895) among the round fonts of the Mosan type with four human heads at 90-degree angles on the basin. An illustration in Corblet (1881-1882), who dates this font to the 11th century, shows a rounded basin mounted on a short shaft; the basin side is ornamented with what appear to be acanthus leaves which he describes as "simples décorations végétales". There are no trace of heads on it [NB: the two objects referred by Cloquet and Corblet are obviously different - we have included the illustration shown in Corblet]. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM02002188] as a font of the 12th century; no details given.
