Sous le généralat de Pascal Paoli, l'édifice devint l'église paroissiale de Corte, alors capitale de l'île."
Corsican baldaquin font of the 16th-17th century mentioned in Enlart (1902) and Bond (1908). There is also a modern font of 1912 in one of the side chapels.
