Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM27000386] and illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: APMH00010343]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] La cuve, de forme octogonale, est montée sur un pied cylindrique [...] feuille stylisée [...] Un large rinceau végétal encercle le sommet de la cuve [...] 16e siècle [...] H = 93 ; la = 90". The font appears octagonal and the basin sides decorated with floral (?) motifs. There is a flat wooden cover on the font. The baldaquin is made of a low octagonal railing-like carved structure with four very slender carved colonnettes which hold up the shallow crown-like octagonal top (description based on ill. in Huard). Enlart (1902) describes it as a Renaissance baldaquin font, the basin itself octagonal. Huard (1928) dates it to the 17th century. Wooden octagonal baldaquin on four slender columns; the lower sides are decorated with tracery trellieses; the top is crown-shaped. The font itself has been much restored recently [2013-2023?] and shows the detail of very skilled carving on its sides.
