Listed by Enlart (1902) as a French Renaissance baldaquin font, mounted on a 5-column base. Huard (1928) describes it as a stone peduncular font of the 16th century. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM27000092] and illustrated in Mémoire [ref.: AP27W02404]: "Fonts baptismaux [...] À l'entrée, à droite, bas du collatéral sud [...] La cuve est de forme carrée, posée sur un pédicule quadrangulaire [...] 1er quart 17e siècle [...] H = 154 ; d = 90 (Diamètre de la cuve) ; Dimension du pédicule : h = 40".
