Included in Collin (1981) as a notable font of the Ardennes group of Tournai-like fonts. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM08000143] with date in the 11th century; the description in Palissy mentions only two protruding heads [="Cuve cylindrique ornée de deux têtes saillantes"]. The font consists of a round basin with slightly tapering sides decorated with four human heads at 90-degree angles; the basin is made of the blue limestone characteristic of this area; it is raised on a broad cylindrical pedestal base and a circular plinth, both of a different stone and probably not part of the original font. A white porcelain insert is now used for the baptisms.
