Church Notes: church listed in Mérimée [ref.: PA00090602] -- Two stoups noted in this church. The combination of ermine and fleur-de-lis is, according to Le patrimoine des communes d'Ille-et-Vilaine (2000), an indication that this church was under the suzerainty of the Duchy of Brittany and the Crown of France. See also the Index entry for the stoup(s) of this church [cf. Les Iffs No. 2]
Font Notes:
On-site notes: double-font of the type common in this area: two octagonal basins with ornamented sides (fleur-de-lis and oak leaves); the pedestal bases, as is often the case in these fonts, are differently shaped, one round, the other octagonal. The whole rests on a rectangular lower base. Le patrimoine des communes d'Ille-et-Vilaine (2000) identifies it as the work of a local workshop.
