Enlart (1902) mentions a baptism "figuré" through the depiction of John the Baptist on the font. In Bond (1908), after Enlart, referring to the stone canopy on this font [NB: Bond gives the departement as Eure]. The Dictionnaire des églises... (1966- ) mentions "les célèbres font baptismaux" dated 1534 but gives a brief description of the baldaquin and no detail of the font itself. The Phaidon guide (1985) mentions "some interesting baptismal fonts" contained in this church, one of which is the hexagonal font dated to 1534. Listed in Palissy [ref.: PM95000410]: "Fonts baptismaux surmontés d'un baldaquin. Nouvelle restauration vers 1995-1996". Malle (1994) lists the Magny-en-Vexin font as one of the few hexagonal fonts in France later than the 15th century.
