Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales (1870-1872) reports an ancient font in this church. Mehling (1985) refers to a 13th-century font in the village church of Gyffin. The font consists of a round tapering basin decorated with inverted foliage motifs all around beneath the upper rim, plain below and around the underbowl; it is raised on a cluster of uneven colonnettes that is a later addition; the lower base and plinth are definitely a modern replacement. The basin is lead lined, the lining modern, and there is no cover present.
