Font Notes:
Described in Cox & Harvey (1907) as a tub-shaped baptismal font of the Norman period. In Harrison (1920) as early-Norman. Described in Whiteman (1998): "The simple Norman font is tub-shaped, roughly finished". The old basin is now [May 2009] mounted on a modern cylindrical base. The wooden cover is round and flat, with metal decoration and ring handle; modern. Catalogued and illustrated in the CRSBI (2008), and compares this basin to those at Selham and Waldren.
