Ruprich-Robert's drawing shows a chalice-shaped baptismal font with a fancy upper rim cut into a prismatic pattern; a similar pattern follows in stripes vertically down the basin sides at intervals (8-10?). The ring where the basin meets the base is also done in a geometric pattern. The three widening truncated-cone rings which form the base are plain (description based on ill. in Ruprich-Robert, 1884-1889). A wooden church of 1491 is reported in https://no.wikipedia.org/wiki/Norges_Kirkebygninger_i_Middelalderen, itself with a reference to the KULTURMINNESØK: "Sandbu kyrkjestad / Sandbu stavkyrkje, Kirkested": it reports the baptismal font of the Sanbu church as being still in the farm: "Døypefonten frå Sandbukyrkja er enno på garden".
