Described in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. VI: 467-468): during the reconstruction work of 1978 a granite font was found at the foot of a hill; it had been used as a water-trough for animals; it has a four-point star perforation on the underbowl [NB: this may simply be the anchoring hole for the lock of the old cover]; in view of its size it was deduced that it had originally been placed in a niche of the south wall of the church, where it has now been re-set. The source dates it to the late 12th century, as does Garcia (2011). The font is now [2008] built into the south wall at the west end of the nave [source: www.aldeaglobal.net/artmedieval/Sant%20Roma%20de%20les%20Bons.htm [accessed 9 November 2012]]
