Noted in Ruiz Montejo (1992) as a medieval baptismal font of dubious Romanesque pedigree; the basin is ornamented with a moulding at the upper rim, a band of intersecting three-strand arch-heads, and a row of round arch-heads fitted atop the ribbed pattern that continues down the underbowl; stands directly on the ground without a base. Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) as baptismal font of the 13th century. The Enciclopedia… (ibid) notes the similarity of the decoration with the font at Peñalver, although the latter has beaded-tape motif on the arch-heads, whereas Villarejo's has three-strand arch-heads.
