Noted in Ruiz Montejo (1992): inside a baptismal chapel, at the west end of the nave, there is a medieval baptismal font with ribs under round arches; the only other ornamentation is a round upper rim which has a line incised all along. Noted in Nieto Taberné (2000) as monolithic [although it appears to consist of two separate pieces: basin and pedestal base]. Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009) with date in the 13th century and related fonts at Alcorlo, Cifuentes and Villaescusa de Palositos. It is a font, not of the crude rural style found in some Guadalajara churches, but of finer execution; the upper rim has a double roll moulding and tapers in to the hemispherical basin decorated with the local style that adds round arch-heads to the tops of the ribs that continue down the underbowl; raised on a plain cylindrical pedestal, and a round moulded and splaying lower base.
