Described in Ruiz Montejo (1992) as a Romanesque font; the round basin is ornamented with eight thick ribs inside and out; cylindrical base. Described also in Nieto Taberné (2000) as an interesting baptismal font with ribbed ornamentation, which can be dated to the 13th century. Noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del románico en Castilla-La Mancha: Guadalajara (2009), which points out its similarity with the font at Cereceda. Baptismal font consisting of a roughly hemispheric basin with eight very broad ribs on the outside, and an equal number of corresponding concave ribs on the inside framed by prominent piping between them; two metal staples still at opposite ends of the upper rim; short round stem, on a two-step plinth that appears modern. [cf. Index entry for Carabias No. 2 for a holy-water stoup of the same period at the entrance of this church]
