Referred to as an 'oil font' with lion motif in Celina Llarás Usón's introductory essay to the monumental sculpture in the Pallars region in Catalunya romànica (1984- ). Described in Mestre i Godes (1999) as one of two "oil fonts" in the Sant Lliser parish church of Alos d'Isil, it is decorated with lion-like figures. Described in Cabestany, Matas & Palau (2005), who note similarities with the oil fonts at Sant Just i Sant Pastor de Son, Sant Serni d'Arreu and Sant Mart de Boren. This source further notes that it was unearthed in 1989 from the churchyard; the font has two inner wells and may well be the work of a local workshop, towards the late 12th or early 13th century.
