Mentioned by Barral i Altet (1981) as a Romanesque font which existed in the outer enclosure of the Pedret church of Sant Quirze, a 10th century church, and is now lost. Mestre i Godes (1999, v. 2: 129), however, mentions a baptismal font located outside this church [[it is not clear whether the same font is referred to in both sources]. The font is described and illustrated in Catalunya romànica (1984- , vol. XII: 235): basin in the shape of an upturned truncated pyramid and made of sandstone, now in a very poor state of repair; only some faint arches remain of whatever decorated it..
