A sister font to those at Hildesheim Dom and Rostock Marienkirche; bucket-shaped basin with a tall conical lid similar to Rostock's, all mounted on four figures. [details of iconographic program to be added]. Font originally "aus der Umgegend von Leeuwarden", now in the museum at Leeuwarden itself. (Enciclopedia dell'arte medievale, 1991-1998: 78). Enlart's reference is confusing (Enlart, 1902). Davies (1962: 68) describes it as made of wood and dated to the 15th or 16th century.
