Described and illustrated in the inventory for Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. II: 213 and pl. 52): "Font[...]: round bowl with star-shaped decoration and a crude Agnus Dei, round stem with necking, late 12th-century." A partial view of the Whitbourne font in Gethyn-Jones (1979: ill. 57c) shows a cylindrical base mounted on a narrower cylindrical plain base; the sides of the basin are very worn but there appear to be a human figure, another of a quadruped and a couple of six-point stars or flowers.
