Described and illustrated in the inventory of Herefordshire (1931-1934, vol. II: 129 and pl. 159): "Font: round tapering bowl with three slightly projecting bands and plain base, 13th-century." Cox & Harvey (1907) list a Norman font at Much Marcle. Listed in Marshall (1951: 8). Described in Davies (1962) as having "three flat bands, one at the top, one at the bottom and one at the middle. Gethyn-Jones (1979) dates the font to pre-1150. [cf. Index entry for Much Marcle No. 2 for another object listed in this church]
