Described and illustrated in Blomqvist (1929) as a baptismal font made by he 'Njudungsmästarens posthuma verksted' in the 12th ecntury. Vandeput (1982: 32) mentions the baptismal font at Sjösås as being a cognate of those at Drev and Dädesjö. Inventoried and illustrated in Borg (2002) as a baptismal font in the 'Njudungsgruppen variant 1', made of sandstone between 1170 and 1220. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 910614F1] as a baptismal font of the Njudungsgruppen made of sandstone in the late-12th century. Listed in Drake (2002: 183) as a baptismal font of the Bestiarius workshop (Group 4). The medieval font from the old church was moved to the new church; the old church, which still holds services, acquired a new baptismal font made of wood in 1955.
