Described and illustrated in Sveriges kyrkor: Gotland (Bd. IV, hft. 4: 513, 515) as a sandstone baptismal font of the baluster-pedestal type dated by an inscription to 1670 (the same source explains that the original date on the font was 1670, but the "7" was painted over as a "9"; the ornamentation is Baroque with cherubs on the base. The wide plinth, which has a drain with a drain dish, is carved with the date 1695 (?), but may be older. The font cover, octagonal and with scroll crocketed ribs, was made by Jochim Sterling. from Visby, in 1687. [NB: cf. Index entry for Kräklingbo No. 1 for the possible remains of a medieval font in this location]
